The Abyss
There is a place so dark, so evil, so dreadful, that even the demons tremble at the thought of it. It is a real place, as real as any deep, dark cavern on Earth. More real even, for the realest part of a person may stumble into it. And it is deeper. Darker. They say the darkness there is so utterly permeating that your very being seems to cease, as if your conscious soul were floating bodiless through a void of measureless time and space. There is the absence of happening itself. A terrifying, lonely, eternal nothingness. In that place, the terror is not what may happen to you, but what will not. For nothing ever will. Forever.
